“It doesn\u2019t matter what color you are, where you are from, what religion you\u00a0are; it\u2019s bringing the community together, we\u2019re all here so we\u2019re all \u201csomething\u201d\u00a0American, so, I think it\u2019s important to bring the community like that, not just say,\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m this\u201d, and pull to your corner and just chat with your own group. I think it\u2019s\u00a0more important to bring the whole community together as \u201csomething\u201d Americans.”
\nNaima:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“This is something that is, it hurts my heart a little bit to be honest\u00a0because in Islam there is so much about peace and justice and not fighting against\u00a0others. If somebody were to attack you, you have the right to defend yourself but, to\u00a0start a fight or start a war is never a good thing and if you were to kill an innocent\u00a0person, it\u2019s as if you have killed the whole of humanity that ever existed or ever will\u00a0exist. So, when you look at Islam saying things like this and the Prophet Muhammad\u00a0saying things are almost identical to the things Jesus had said. You can see that Islam\u00a0is so different than it\u2019s portrayed in the media. That\u2019s my main goal is to show\u00a0people Islam and what it truly is versus what people say it is. Because even people of\u00a0our own religion sometimes have taken things out of context for either their own\u00a0benefit or unfortunately if they are corrupt individuals, to corrupt others. So, main\u00a0goal and a lot of Muslims\u2019 goals at this point is to try to dispel those misconceptions,\u00a0to try to make sure that people understand what Islam really is versus what it has\u00a0been portrayed as.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
